This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. J. R. Boardman of this office

and three consultants during the period June 16-20, 1986, of activities

authorized by NRC Operating License NPF-42 for the Wolf Creek Generating Station,

and to the discussion of our findings with you and other members of your staff

at the conclusion of the inspection.

Areas examined during the inspection included the Wolf Creek Generating

Station maintenance program, maintenance program implementation,

instrumentation and control maintenance, and electrical maintenance. Within

these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures

and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the

inspector. The inspection findings are documented in the enclosed inspection

report.

Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were

identified. One unresolved item is identified in paragraph 4 of the enclosed

inspection report.
