This letter responds to the NRC's September 9, 1986, letter from Mr. Roger D. Walker to Mr. J. H. Miller, Jr. of Georgia Power Company.
The enclosure to this letter contains the requested infomation relative to the comprehensive and complex inspection of Plant Hatch for compliance with 10 CFR 50, Appendix R.
A copy of the enclosure, along with applicable drawings and sketches, will be presented at the November 13, 1986, meeting between Georgia Power Company and the NRC, Region II.
In addition to the information presented at the November 13 meeting, analyses and evaluations relative to compliance with Appendix R, Sections III.G, III.J, III.L. and 111.0, will be available on site for review during the intpection scheduled for the week of December 15, 1986.
Appropriate pu sonnel who are knowledgeable with respect to the plant systems required for safe shutdown and the systems' capabilities will be available at the site during the inspection.
Additionally, arrangements have been made to permit your team members access to the radiologically controlled areas of the plant, if necessary.
