ZONE 75 1
Dear Mr. Martin:
1 The Sacramento Municipal Utility District hereby submits Special Report No. 87-08 in accordance with Technical Specifications, Section 3.14 and 6.9.5.E.
During Cold Shutdown conditions on March 31, 1987, at 7:15 PM, Fire Zone 75 was placed under clearance (i.e.,
tagged out) due to reoccurring audible alarms and trouble signals.
Fire Zone 75 covers the Nuclear Services Electrical Building "B" Switchgear room, the "BB2" Battery Room, and the "BD2" Battery Room.
The District identified the cause of the alarms and signals as a low-charged battery.
Work Request No. 130101 was performed to replace the battery.
The carbon dioxide suppression subsystems listed above were returned to service on May 1, 1987.
The compensatory measure to establish fire watches was performed l
in accordance with Section 3.14.4.2 of the Technical Specifications for the above-listed fire protection subsystem between March 31, 1987, and May 1, 1987.
