Letter from Mr. H. R. Denton (NRC), to Mr. 3. A. Tiernan (BG&E),
dated March 13, 1987, Generic Letter 87-06, Periodic Verification of Leak Tight Integrity of Pressure Isolation Valves Gentlemen:
Reference (a) required a response within 90 days. We have had discussions with members of the NRC staff regarding the scope of the generic letter. As a result of those discussions and the environmental qualification and fastener certification situation, we have an unexpected short-term burden that will prevent us from adequately preparing a response to the request in Reference (a) by June 11, 1987. Therefore, we are requesting a 30-day extension to our response time. We propose to submit the required information by July 11,1987.
