Inspection Report No. 50-352/86-26
A routine safety inspection was conducted by Mr. H. Bicehouse of this office
on November 3-7, 1986, of the water chemistry control program at the Limerick
Generating Station, Unit 1, Limerick, Pennsylvania. Our findings were
discussed with Mr. J. Franz and others of your staff at the conclusion of the
inspection on November 7, 1986.
The areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative
,
records, interviews with personnel and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, an unresolved item related to your
Post Accident Sampling System (PASS) was noted.
The adequacy of your program
to maintain an available PASS during operations above 5% power is unresolved
in view of the co'tinuing problems in testing and maintaining the current
system.
