This letter responds to your letter, serial RBG 24143, dated August 4, 1986, which requested an extension to the 18-month surveillance interval of the turbine overspeed protection system specified in paragraph 3/4.3.8 of your Technical Specifications.
Your request for an extension of the aforementioned Technical Specification should be directed to NRR as a request for an amendment to the Technical Specifications. ;Therefore, you are advised to submit an amendment request pursuant to the requirements of 10 CFR Part 50.
