DRAFT SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT FOR MII.lSTONE NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNIT N0. 3, REACTOR C0OLANT PUMP TRIP (GENERIC 1.ETTER 85-12)

The staff has completed a preliminary review to assess the completeness and adequacy of your response to Generic l.etter 85-12. Your response was found to be incomplete in several of the areas evaluated.

The Draft SER (Enclosure 1) provides our initial conclusions and their bases. This information should be used as the basis for a telephone confer-ence call prior to preparation of your response. It is anticipated that much of the needed clarification will be obtained during the conference call.

I plan to contact your licensing staff within approximately two weeks of the date of this letter to arrange the call.
