This transmits the March 17 to April 27, 1987, routine inspection findings of
- Messrs. C. Holden and R. Freudenberger at the Maine Yankee Atomic Power Plant,
- Wiscasset, Maine. Those findings were based on observations of activities,. inter- ,
views, and document reviews, and have been discussed with Mr. Garrity of your staff.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed. In general, the
, refueling outage appears well run with good management overview of activities.
On the other hand, two errors which had the potential to adversely affect the out-
age (inadvertent initiation of recirculation actuation and the fuel handling ma-

chine contact with the light ring) indicate the continued need for attention to
i
detail at all levels.
