Subject: Inspection No. 50-213/87-11
A reutine health physics inspection was conducted at the. Connecticut Yankee
Station on April 20-24, 1987. The inspection was a routine health physics
inspection with special emphasis on previously identified inspection
findings. The inspection indicated that most of the items of-concern were
being addressed. Many changes in the radiological controls program were also
observed during the inspection, and the changes suggest a trend.toward
improvement in the quality of that program. However, these changes, and your
actions on previously identified items, were still in progress at the time of
this inspection. Many corrective actions had not been incorporated into the
program. The effectiveness of these actions and program upgrades will be
evaluated in future inspections.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
