The applicant has proposed the use of redundant catalytic recoc.b1ners in conjunction with a containment inerting system, in accordance with the recommendations of Regulatory Guide 1.7.
Noe n t, it is pertfornt to note that the staff bas recently completed a reviire of the cut 1 rent guide ud we have proposed, in part, that several revf alone be made to the The' roposed, revised design paramaters specified by the gcide.
p Regulatory Guide 1.7 has been reviewed laternally by the staff and has been placed in the Public Locisment Soom. Currer.tly the proposed guide is under review by the ACRS Regulatory Guide Sth,coamatttee.

The applicant should consider the proposed revisicca to the guide in the
- design of the combustible ses control system, and he should be advised of our comments, listed below, regarding the proposed system. If we find that a lenR delay in acdifying the guide is apparent, we vould than resume the review.
