The attached evaluation was prepared by the Auxiliary and Power Conversion Systecia I> ranch in response to your Technical Request dated March 25, 1974. We concur with the applicant th it in the event of tornado nissile daeaaqo to the ultinate heat sink spray poud nozzles, that Ll.e river vnter w.keup water supply system, which is iurervious to tornado induced danage, would be ovailabic to provide coolins, water at a maximum tenperature of 7C*r to both spray ponda.
To assure this availability, two positions are presented:
(1) the level control switches controlling uakeup water supply should be located in the standby service water puna house suup area for tornado nissilo protection, and (2) the redundant tenperature indicators should be located with the sa*.e uissile protection above.
