Gentlemen:
This refers to the allegation investigation conducted by Mr. Gary L. Pirtle
of this office on July 23 through Octooer 31, 1986, of an allegation pertaining
to loss of security effectiveness because security force members had to work
excessive hours at the LaSalle County Station, Units 1 and 2,
authorized by
NRC Operating Licenses No. NPF-11 and NPF-18.
An exit meeting was conducted
on October 31, 1986 with Mr. G. Diederich and other members of your staff.
The enclosed capy of our inspection report identifies the details of the
allegation examined during this inspection.
The inspection consisted of
a selective examination of documents and interviews with personnel.
No
violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of the
inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy
of this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the
NRC Public Document Room.
