Gentlemen:
This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Messrs. M. Jordan,
J. Bjorgen, R. Kopriva, S. Stasek, A. Morrongiello, W. Guldemond, and
Ms. E. Hare of this office on January 1 through February 12, 1986, of
activities at LaSalle County 5tation, Units 1 and 2, authorized by Operating
Licenses No. NPF-11 and No. NPF-18 and to the discussion of our findings with
Mr. G. J. Diederich at the conclusion of the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identified areas examined during
the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and
interviews with personnel.
During this inspection, certain of your activities appeared to be in violation
of NRC requirements, as Fpecified in the enclosed Notice. A written response

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of

The responses directed by this letter (and the accompanying Notice) are not
