On August 15, 1984, I transmitted to you for review and approval three appraisal plans relating to our Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station in response to your Order Modifying License Effective Immediately, dated June 18, 1984.

On September 4, 1984, Mr. Richard W. Starostecki and I agreed to the following provisions relating to these appraisal plans.

1.

Resumes of the' individuals that will be involved in the appraisals will be sent to you.

These resumes are attached.

2.

Two interim status reports on.our." Appraisal Plan for the Review of Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station's Plant and System Operating Procedures" will be.sent to you.

The first interim report will be sent to you\\at the completion of the Screening Phase, which is. scheduled to occur six months from the start of the appraisal.

The second interim report will be sent to you at the completion of the Evaluation Phase, which is scheduled to occur eight months from the start of the appraisal.

.t ROBERT H. MOORE SUPERINTENDENT QUALITY ASSURANCE DIVISION PHILADELPHIA ELECTRIC COMPANY PROFESSIONAL' RESUME Mr. Moore is presently Superintendent'of the Quality Assurance Division, Electric Production Department, Philadelphia Electric Company.

.As Superintendent of the QA Division, Mr. Moore is responsible for establishing and administering the Quality Assurance Program for PECO's Peach Bottom Atomic Station.

Mr. Moore is.a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University in 1949 with Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Mr. Moore joined Philadelphia Electric in.1949 as an Engineer 4

in the Station Operating Department.

He worked as'a Performance Engineer in several fossil-fired gunerating stations.

In 1952, Mr. Moore was recalled to duty in the U. S. Navy.

He served as Engineering Officer on a destroyer in the Atlantic Fleet and Squadron Engineering in the Destroyer Force of the Pacific Fleet.

4 In 1954, Mr. Moore returned to Philadelphia Electric as an Engineer in the Maintenance Division of the Electric Production Department He

provided engineering support for PECO's large centralized maintenance organization which maintained the Company's entire electric production

facilities.

In 1963, he was named Assistant General Superintendent of the Maintenance Division and in 1972, he was appointed General Superintendent.

l During Mr. Moore's tour of duty in the Maintenance Division, he was closely involved with the maintenance of Peach Bottom No. 1 Unit, a 40 MWE prototype HTGR.

He was also involved with the initiation of the Maintenance Program for Peach Botton No. 2 and 3 Units, 1065 MWE BWR's which were placed in commercial operation in 1974.

Mr. Moore served as a member of the Peach Bottom Operation and Safety Review Committee for four (4) years.
