We have received your October 28, 1986 application for exemption from l the annual fees of 10 CFR 171 and requesting an extension of time to l make the first quarterly payment. Your application will be reviewed as j soon as possible.
As indicated in the terms and conditions of Invoice No. F0087 which has been sent to you, the filing of the exemption request will not extend the due date for the first quarterly payment of $237,500. Therefore, your request for an extension of time to make payment is not being granted. To avoid interest, penalty and administrative costs, we recomend that payment of the invoiced amount be made within the specified time stipulated on the invoice. Please note that under the provisions of 10 CFR 171.25, if a timely payment of the quarterly installment is not made, the balance of the annual fee becomes due and payable to the Comission. If a partial exemption is granted to you which necessitates an adjustment to the invoiced amount, such adjust-ments will be made including refunds, if necessary.
