I Vice Pnasident Nuclear Operations P.O. Box 618 North Country Road Wading River, NY 11792 Gentlemen:
We have received your November 7,1986 application for exemption from the annual fees of 10 CFR 171 until such time as Shoreham Unit No.1 is licensed to operate above 5% thermal power. Your application will be reviewed as soon as possible.
As indicated in the terms and conditions of Invoice No. F0110 which has been sent to you, the filing of the exemption request will not extend the due date for the first quarterly payment of $237,500.
Therefore, to avoid interest, penalty and administrative costs, we recommend that payment of the invoiced amount be made within the specified time stipu-lated on the invoice.
Please note that under the provisions of 10 CFR 171.25, if a timely payment of the quarterly installment is not made, the balance of the annual fee becomes due and payable to the Commission.
If a partial exemption is granted to you which necessitates an adjustment to the invoiced amount, such adjustments will be made including refunds, if necessary.
