Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 NUREG 0737 Item II.K.3.19 Recirculation Loop Interlock Amendment No.106 to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-15 for the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station revised the requirement in the March 15, 1983 Order to install interlocks on the recirculation loops to prevent isolating four recirculation loops.
The requirement was changed to an alarm in the control room to indicate that a fourth recirculation loop has been isolated and an alarm reflash to indicale that a fifth loop has been isolated.
In accordance with your letters of January 10,1983, May 30,1985, April 16, 1986 and July 15, 1986, GPU Nuclear has been requested to propose appropriate technical specifications using the guidance provided in Generic Letter 83-02.
The guidance provided in Generic Letter 83-02 addresses the interlock instrumentation.
In that there is no instrumentation associated with the modification at the Oyster Craek Nuclear Generating Station, GPU Nuclear has determined that technical specifications for the alarm function only are not appropriate.
