McGuire Nuclear Station Docket No. 50-369 and 50-370 Licensee Event Report No. 369/87-08 Gentlemen:
On April 9, 1987, McGuire personnel discovered that the monthly channel checks on the Reactor Vessel Level Instrumentation system wide range instrumentation were not being performed on either unit as required by Technical Specification 3.3.3.6.
Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.73 Section (a)(1)(d) and in accordance with Section (a)(2)(1)(B), Licensee Event Report 369/87-08 was to be submitted by May 11, 1987.
At this time, all concerns regarding this event are not yet resolved. The complete report will be submitted by May 18, 1987.
