SUMM APY OF OPEP ATING EXPEDI2NCE April, 1987 OPPn ATION S: The scheduled refueling shutdown was concluded on April 4.
A short outage was taken, also on April 4, for performance of turbine overspeed trip and torsional testing.
MAINTFNANCE: April was an active month with completion of the annual ref ueling shutdown on April 4.
ICC completed refurbishment of one-half of the Foxboro plant process instrumentation, recalibrated numerous transmitters, controllers, relays and bistables, supported Feed Beg Valve trim and capscrew replacement, and installation and test of a revised Shield Building Vent damper control scheme.
Maintenance Mechanics worked on Containment Fan Coil Unit tube bend leaks, Reactor Coolant Pump balance and vibration measurement, Steam Generator and RTD by-pass line re-insulation for ISI and asbostos concerns, and installation of an Accumulator relief valve.
Maintenance Electricians replaced numerous air operated valve position limit switches and electrical splices for equipment qualification concerns, performed various Appendix 9 retest procedures, and completed many motor operated valve grease changes and 9.0.V.A.T.S. tests.
