Dear Sir:
In accordance with the provisions set forth in 10 CFR 50.55a(g), Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) hereby submits the Interval 2 In-Service Inspection Program (ISI) for the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant (BSEP), Unit Nos. I and 2 (see Attachment 1).
Drawings submitted with the In-Service Testing Program (Serial No. NLS-86-366 dated 10/23/86) also apply to this program. The program conforms to the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code,Section XI, l980 Edition through the winter 1981 Addenda. The updated 151 Program is applicable for the 120-month interval which began for both units on July 10,1986.
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.55, paragraph g 3 (iv), exceptions from code requirements applicable to the first interval which CP&L found to be impractical and which have not yet been identified to the NRC are provided in Attachment 2.
Carolina Power & Light Company has reviewed this request in accordance with 10 CFR 170.12, and a check for $150 in payment of the required fee is enclosed.
