This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Messrs.
L A. Connaughton, G. F. O'Dwyer, J. W. McCormick-Barger, B. H. Little,

of activities at Perry Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1, authorized by NRC

FgtHty Operating License No. NPF-45 and to the discussion of our
fit 41 rips with Messrs. M. D. Lyster and F. R. Stead at the conclusion of
the intpection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined

during the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted
of-a selective examination of procedures and representative records,
observations, and interviews with personnel.
During this inspection, certain of your activities appeared to be in
violation with NRC requirements, as specified in the enclosed Notice.
