In accordance with present NRC procedures for Board Notifications, the following is enclosed for information to the Comission:

Trip Report (May 25-28, 1982) - Diablo Canyon Seismic Reverification Program Inspections, issued by K. Herring memorandum dated July 21, 1982.

Interim Technical Report 4 - Shake Table Testing, transmitted by R. L. Cloud Associates letter dated July 23, 1982.
3.
Semi-Monthly Status Report 18 - Independent Design Verification Program (IDVP), transmitted by Teledyne Engineering Services (TES) letter dated July 29, 1982.

Transcript of July 27, 1982 Meeting at Brookhaven National Laboratory, issued by H. Schierling memorandum dated August 6,1982. is a sumary of an inspection of (a) the procedures and results i
of the Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) initiated review of Diablo Canyon structural analyses performed in the past by URS/Blume, (b) the PG&E document for the control of response spectra and (c) the impact of the recently formed Diablo Canyon Project Organization.
I is IDVP Interim Technical Report 4 on the subject of seismic shake table testing of electrical equipment and instrumentation, including IDVP recommendations and conclusions.

', issued by TES as the IDVP Manager, provides information on the status of the activities performed by each of the IDVP organizations. is a verbatim transcript of a meeting on the subject of the recently issued BNL report (see Board Notification 82-67). The enclosure also includes a meeting sunnary (me:norandum) and corrected pages.
These submittals provide information on design verification activities for Diablo Canyon, Unit 1.
The information is relevant to the safety issue on the design adequacy of Diablo Canyon, Unit 1.
This is the subject of Commission Order CLI-81-30 which is the basis for the IDVP. The staff is evaluating the information as part of its ongoing review of the IDVP efforts and will report on the results prior to reinstatement of the license. The material does not pertain to those matters that were resolved by ALAB 644.
