Diesel Generator 2A Experienced Repeated Failures
Dear Dr. Grace:
On July 2, 1986, Unit 2 Diesel Generator IB experienced a valid failure due to an cxhaust thermocouple blowing out of its cylinder. This event is reportable pursuant to Technical Specification 4.8.1.1.3.
The Special Report for this event will be submitted by August 15, 1986, pending completion of the appropriate investigation by Duke Power Company.
