NRC STAFF MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME Pursuant to 10 C.F.R. Section 2.711 of the Commission's regulations, the Staff of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (Staff) moves the Atomic Safety And Licensing Appeal Board (Appeal Board) for a one day extension of time to file its response to Intervenors' motion for a stay of ALAB-856. Since Thursday, January 22, 1987, the Washington area has suffered two major snow storms which caused the closing of the Federal Government on Thursday and on Monday, January 26. In addition, due to the weather, it was difficult for employees to report to work on Friday, January 23. For these reasons the Staff was not able to complete all of the steps involved in the filing and service of its response.

Therefore, the Staff moves the Appeal Board for a one day extension of time until January 28, 1987 to complete these steps and file the above mentioned response.
