Ray (SCE) dated December 3, 1986 The referenced letter details the actions required to be taken at th'e San Onofre f4; clear Generating Station in response to two recent instances of apparent tampering. Actions identified as items (1) through (d) therein, have been completed.
Your office has been regularly informed, via the Senior Resident at San Onofre, of the progress of our investigation. Also, no additional instances of apparent tampering have been observed.
SCE considers the precautionary measures described in the referenced letter to have been completed and to no longer be needed for continued operation.
Therefore, in accordance with referenced letter, SCE requests your concurrence to withdraw these measures.
