GENERIC LETTER (GLI 83-28, ITEMS 3.1.3 AND 3.2.3 (POST-MAINTENANCE TESTING) i By letter dated November 4,1083, Portland General Electric Company (PGE) responded to several Items of GL 83-28, among them, Items 3.1.3 and 3.2.3 -

Post-Maintenance Testing. Supplemental information was provided in PGE letters dated October 13, and November 7, 1986. Items 3.1.3 and 3.2.3 directed licensees to review their existing Technical Specifications for post-maintenance testing requirements that may degrade rather than enhance safety.

The staff has completed its review of PGE's responses and concludes that the subject has been adequately addressed, and is therefore acceptable. Our Safety Evaluation is enclosed.
