SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE October 1986 Unit 2 operated at approximately 100% power until October 18, when power was reduced to approximately 230 MWE to conduct the monthly turbine stop and control ~ valve test.

Power was returned to full load the following day.

On October 20th, a unit trip occurred due to "B"

reactor trip breaker opening. The initiating event was a loose electrical connection associated with a relay in the logic network.

The unit remained in shut down for previously planned maintenance.

The unit was returned to service on October 23rd; however, during load increase, the reactor was manually tripped upon loss of the main boiler feedwater pump.

On October 27th, the unit was brought back on line and returned to full load.
