TROJAN - CONTAINMENT RUILDING INTEGRATED LEAK RATE TEST (ILRT)
By letter dated October 31, 1986, PGE submitted its sumary technical report of the Containment ILRT (Type A) performed during the 1986 refueling outage.
)
The letter stated that excessive leakage was observed from Penetration P-57-2, chilled water return line, during the performance of local leak rate testing (Type C) prior to the ILRT.
In applying the guidance provided by IE Information Notice 85-71, the "as-found" integrated leak rate was conservatively assumed to have exceeded the Technical Specification (TS) limit. As a result, and in accordance with TS Section 4.6.1.2.b, PGE requested NRC approval of the proposed schedule for the next Type A test.
It was proposed that the normal test frequency of 40 10 months be maintained.
We have reviewed the schedule reauest and conclude that it is acceptable on the basis that the valves of concern will remain in the Trojan Type C test program.
