Dear Ms. Pollard:
In response to your letter to Dr. Thomas Murley of December 11, 1986, I am enclos-
ing a copy of NRC Region I Inspection Report 50-443/86-51, which was issued on
January 7,1987.
That report describes the results of our inspection of allega-
tions made by Computerized Interference Elimination (CIE), Inc. management regard-
ing Seabrook's "as-built" drawings. As described in the report, those allegations
were not substantiated and no violations were identified.
Following your review
of the report, I will be pleased to meet with you to discuss this matter further.
As a related matter, we are planning to meet with Mr. Schuyler Mitchell, President
of CIE on January 28, 1987 at 9:00 a.m. in the NRC Region I Office.
Mr. Mitchell
has requested that a representative of the State of Massachusetts attend this meet-
ing and we would be pleased to have you or your representative attend.
I will continue to keep you informed of any other matters pertaining to Seabrook
which would be of interest to you and Governor Dukakis.
