NRC INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-327/86-60 AND 50-328/86-60
This refers to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) inspection conducted by
K. M. Jenison on October 6 - November 5,1986. The inspection included a review
of activities authorized for your Sequoyah facility. At the conclusion of the
inspection, - the findings were discussed with those members 'of your staff
identified in the enclosed inspection report.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within these
areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and
representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of activities
in progress.
The violation discussed in the enclosed Inspection Report is a second example of
Violation 86-19-06 and therefore a separate Notice of Violation has not been
issued.
Please examine your corrective actions for Violation 86-19-06 to ensure
they adequately address this second example.
Please provide a submittal within
30 days of the date of this letter addressing the results of your corrective
action examination.
The response directed by this letter is not subject to the clearance procedures
of the Office of Management and Budget issued under the Paperwork Reduction Act
of 1980, PL 96-511.
