This letter refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. Anthony A.
Varela of this office on November 17 - 21, 1986 at the Limerick Nuclear
Generating Station, Unit 2.
Mr. Varela discussed the findings of the inspection
with Mr. D. A. DiPalo.at the conclusion of the inspection and had a telephone
discussion regarding the inspection with Mr. K. W. Meck on December 3,1986.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
