The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has completed its SALP Assessment relating to the performance of your reactor facilities and will present its findings at a meeting on August 20, 1986, at 10:00 a.m. in the Region III Offices.
Arrangements for this meeting were previously made between Mr. C. E. Larson of your staff and Mr. J. E. Hard of Region III on July 10, 1986.
We encourage Northern States Power Company to have appropriate corporate and plant management representation at the meeting to ensure a mutual understanding of the issues and findings being presented by NRC.
While this meeting is considered a presentation and discussion forum between Northern States Power Company and the NRC, the meeting will be open to any other interested parties as observers. Those persons outside the licensee and NRC staffs should inform the Regional Office, in advance of the meeting, of their intent to attend so possible space limitations can be accomodated.
Following the SALP meeting, a meeting discussing Prairie Island licensed operator concerns / morale will be held. This meeting is prompted by the recent requests for transfer away from Prairie Island by a number of licensed operators. This meeting is open only to NRC and Northern States Power Company personnel.
