Export of Special Nuclear Material A routine material control and accounting safeguards inspection was made of the special nuclear material shipment, authorized by your NRC Export License XSNM-02275, at the Port of Oakland, Oakland, California, February 12 and 13, 1987.

The inspection was conducted by Region V Safeguards Inspector G. B. Nelson, and P. R. Zurakowski, Health Physicist.

Each examined a special nuclear material shipment, originating from the General Electric Company, Wilmington, North Carolina for compliance with the requirements of Title 10, Part 70, "Special l

Nuclear Materials," and Part 71, " Packaging and Transportation of Radioactive Material," Code of Federal Regulations.

Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.

l In accordance with Section 2.790(d) of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's l

" Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, documentation of their findings of your control and accounting procedures for l

the safeguarding of special nuclear material are exempt from disclosure.

r Therefore, the enclosed inspection report will not be placed in the public document room, but the report will be given limited distribution.
