Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. L. D. Gilbert and D. M.
Hunnicutt of this office during the period October 20 througn November 20,
1986, of activities authorized by NRC Operating Licenses DPR-51 and NPF-6 for
Arkansas Nuclear One, and to the discussion of our findings with Mr. J. M.
Levine and other members of your staff.
Areas examined during the inspection included reactor coolant pump inspection,
high pressure injection nozzle repair, and steam generator tube surveillance.
Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of
procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and
observations by the NRC inspector.
The inspection findings are documented in
the enclosed inspection report.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
identified.
