NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE AUGUST 1986 During the month of August 1986, the plant remained shutdown, in the outage which started July 16, 1986. - The major project involved removing the reactor vessel head, defueling the core, d. raining the vessel, replacing a section of the decay heat line, reflooding the vessel, and reloading the core. Other major activities included work on Upper Control Rod Drive Mechanism No.12, replacement of the 1A Static Inverter and repair of neutron source 2A, A Type E test was conducted on the personnel airlock. No leakage was measured.
