Export of Special Nuclear Material A routine material control and accounting safeguards inspection was made of the special nuclear material shipment, authorized by your NRC Export Licenses XSNM-02254 and XSNM-02192, at the Port of Oakland, Oakland, California, December 8 and 9, 1980 and in-office inspection December 5, 1986.
The inspection was conducted by Region V Safeguards Inspector G. B. Nelson, and J. F. Pang, Health Physicist. Each examined a special nuclear material shipment, originating from the General Electric Company, Wilmington, North Carolina for compliance with the requirements of Title 10 Part 70, "Special Nuclear Materials," and Part 71, " Packaging and Transportation of Radioactive Materia!," Code of Federal Regulations.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
In accordance with Section 2.790(d) of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's
" Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, documentation of their findings of your control and accounting procedures for the safeguarding of special nuclear material are exempt from disclosure.
Therefore, the enclosed inspection report will not be placed in the public document room, but the report will be given limited distribution.
