These letters rela',e to our review and acceptance of Topical Report EDR-1, Ederer's Nuclear Safety-Related Extra Safety and Monitoring (X-SAM) Cranes, Revisions 1 and 3, respectively, and confirm the compliance of the X-SAM with the requirements of NUREG-0554," Single-Failure Proof Cranes for Nuclear Power Plants." Topical Report EDR-1 is c.:,rrently in use and has been the basis for license and license amendments at several nuclear power plants in the United States.
