SHIPPING CASK DEFECT REPORT PER 10 CFR 71.95 During decontamination of a chem-nuclear system shipping cask prior to shipment, cracks were discovered in the cask bottom plate weld. This event has been determined to be reportable in accordance 10 CFR 71.95. The attached report provides the required 30-day written report.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards, Region III, and Senior Resident Inspector have previously been informed of this event.
