SUMMARY

MONTH SEPTEMBER 1997 l

  • The Hope Creek Generating Station started the month at 79% power, continuing the end of cycle coast down.
  • On September 2, 1997, at 09:42, "A" Recirculation Pump tripped reducing power to 45%. The plant was returned to 83% power on September 5, 1997, at 00:14.
  • On September 10, 1997, at 10:40 a.m., the plant was manually scrammed due to the Main Transformer Cooling System failure. The unit had been on-line for 307 days.

On September 13, 1997, the refueling outage started.
