Geor (BWROG) gia Power Company (GPC) is participating in a BWR Owners' Group Committee formed to address the requirements of IE Bulletin No. 85-03 and endorses the BWROG position on the subject bulletin provided to the NRC Office of Inspection and Enforcement in BWROG-8619 letter dated April 29, 1986 The BWROG plans to develop a scope of systems, range of events, and set of assumptions to form a sound technical basis for BWR plant response to the bulletin. BWROG activities for the bulletin are not scheduled for completion until approximately September 1,1986 The required response date for IE Bulletin No. 85-03 was May 14, 1986.
A teleconference was held between BWROG representatives and Mr. Baer of NRC Inspection and Enforcement on May 13, 1986 It is our understanding that Mr.
Baer agreed to extend the response date for the bulletin an additional two weeks.
Mr. Baer stated that those utilities participating in the BWROG are to provide at that time approximate maximum differential pressures expected for each valve and reference participation in the BWROG activities.
In addition, Mr. Baer stated that responses to Items b through d of the bulletin are to be included.
