Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. R. C. Stewart of this office
during the periods May 12-16, June 30 through July 3, July 14-18, and
August 18-22,.1986, of activities authorized by NRC Operating License NPF-26
for the Waterford Steam Electric Station, Unit 3, and to the discussion of our
findings with Mr. R. P. Barkhurst and other members of your staff at the
conclusion of the inspections.
Areas examined during the inspection included review of the licensee and
architect engineer design control programs, station modification program, a"-
the review of station modification implementation activities.
Within these
areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures a-i
representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the NRC
inspector. The inspection findings are documented in the enclosed inspection
report.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
identified.
