SUBJECT:
SOUTH TEXAS PROJECT REACTOR OPERATOR AND SENIOR REACTOR OPERATOR LICENSING EXAMINATION REPORT (0L 87-01)
On November 13, 1986, the NRC administered Reactor Operator and Senior Reactor Operator Written Examinations to employees of your company who had applied for a license to operate your South Texas Project, Unit 1 facility. These examinations involved one site visit and the results of these examinations were discussed with members of your Licensed Operator Training Staff.
Subsequently, those applicants who had passed a written examination previously administered in July 1986, as well as those who passed the November examination were administered Oral Operating Walk - Thru Examinations at the STP Unit 1 facility, during the month of January 1987.
To summarize, 39 of the 45 Senior Reactor Operator and 1 of the 2 Reactor Operator candidates successfully completed these examinations and have been issued the appropriate operating license.
