TESTIMONY OF JOHN F. WILSON My name is John F.

Wilson.

I am a lawyer with the firm of Bishop, Liberman & Cook.

In 1981, I represented Metropolitan Edison Company and maintained an office at Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station.

On June 6, 1986, counsel for Mr. Husted asked me l

whether I had in my possession any notes prepared by Jack Herbein of a conversation Mr. Herbein had had on October 5, 1981 with Charles Husted.

I searched my files and could find no such notes.

I did, however, l

find notes that I made on October 5, 1981 of a tele-l phone conversation that I had that day with Messrs.

r -.

r Herbein and Husted.

These notes are attached to this testimony.

A question raised in my October 5, 1981 notes by the reference to "O" and "W" in the third line of the text is whether or not Mr. Husted related to me that he had heard O and W specifically identified as the individuals in the comment regarding " passing papers" which he had overheard.

My recollection of the conversation is that Mr. Husted did not advise me that he heard O and W associated with the comment.

On the contrary, my recollection, supported by my notes, is Mr. Husted heard only two words -

" passing papers" --

which did not describe the setting being discussed or identify any individual involvement.

Further, Mr. Husted advised me that he did not identify those involved in the communication -

"Didn't bother to look to see who it was, it could have been 0 and W j

standing there."

I do not recall whether Mr. Husted specifically mantioned o and W or I inverted their names while Mr. Husted was talking to me in order to ask Mr. Husted follow-up questions as to whether they were identified in the comment.

In any event, the caret l

i A

e insertion of the words "soir.ebody passed papers to somebody" adds to my recollection that Mr. Husted was unable to identify specific individuals from what he overheard.
