EQUIPMENT QUALIFICATION INSPECTION OF TURKEY POINT NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION (Inspection No. 50-250,251/87-08)

This letter confirms the revised dates of March 2 through 6,1987 for the NRC equipment qualification (EQ) inspection for Turkey Point.

These dates were established during previous telephone conversations with your staff by Mr.

Stephen Alexander of this office.

The inspection will take place at your Juno Beach engineering offices March 2 through 6,

1987 and at the plant site on March 4, 1987.

A management entrance meeting is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

on March 2, 1987 at your Juno Beach offices. A management exit meeting is tentatively scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on March 6, 1987 also at your Juno Beach Offices.

A plant walkdown inspection is planned for Wednesday, March 4, 1987.

The inspection will include the following:

1.

Review of your implementation of a 10 CFR 50.49 program including preser-vation of the qualified status of qualified equipment.

2.

Review of your implementation of Technical Evaluation Report / Safety Eval-uation Report EQ corrective action commitments.

3.

Review of EQ documentation files.

4.

Physical inspection of selected plant equipment and selected field wiring.
