HUSTED'S FIRST SUPPLEMENTAL ANSWER TO NRC STAFF'S FIRST INTERROGATORIES AND REQUEST FOR PRODUCTION OF DOCUMENTS TO CHARLES HUSTED In NRC Staff's First Interrogatories and Request for Production of Documents to Charles Husted, , Interrogatory 4 asked Mr. Husted to state hir poridion d on his alleged lack of cooperation with NRC investiga-tors in July 29 and September 18, 1981 interviews. The following will supplement Mr. Husted's 1 carlier Answers:

1. In a Supplemental Answer, filed today, to TMIA's First Request for Production of Documents and First Interrogatories to Charles Husted, Mr. Husted produced notes kept by Dr. Robert L. Long that indicate that Mr. Husted met with Jack Herbein on h

id S 6 October 5, 1981. Based on the reference to Mr. Wilson in Dr. Long's notes, counsel for Mr. Husted contacted Mr. Wilson on June 6, 1986 and asked whether he could determine whether he had any notes made by Mr. Herbein of the October 5, 1981 Herbein-Husted conversation. Mr. Wilson had no such notes, but he did produce notes of a telephone conversation he had with Messrs. Herbein and Husted on October 5, 1981. These notes are attached.

2. Mr. Husted believes that Mr. Wilson's notes confirm that (a) he only heard the two words " passing papers," (b) he does not know who was at the water fountain, (c) he does not know who the speaker or speakers were, (d) he did not hear any reference to an exam, (e) he answered "no" when asked during the second interview if he had heard rumors of cheating, and (f) he did not discuss the " passing papers" comment with any Company employee prior to October 5, 1981.
