This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. L. Briggs of this
office on April 14 - 25, 1986 at the Hope Creek Generating Station, Hancock's
Bridge, New Jersey of activities authorized by NRC License No. NPF-50 and to
the discussions of our findings held by Mr. L. Briggs with Mr. Salvesen and
others of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Artas examined caring this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Repert. which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, measurements made by the inspector, and
observations by the inspector.
Our inspector also verified the steps you have taken to correct the violations

brought to your attention in letters dated March 14 and 27,1986. We have no
further questions regarding your action at this time.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
