Compliance.with 10CFR 50.49 NRC Docket Nos. 50-454 and 50-455
Dear Mr. Denton:
Commonwealth Edison Company has prepared a master list of -
electrical equipment as required by 10CFR 50.49(d).
All equipment which is installed in the subject facility and which Commonwealth Edison Company has included on its master list as within the scope of 10CFR50.49 is environmentally qualified.
This includes the equipment listed in table.3.ll-2 Equipment Requiring Additional 1
Information~or Corrective Action, on page 3-39 of NUREG-0876, Supplement No. 5 (Byron Station Safety Evaluation Report).
A maintenance and surveillance program has been implemented to maintain qualification.
Additional equipment which may be required to satisfy Reg.
Guide 1.97,.or equipment currently installed to satisfy Reg. Guide 3
1.97, but for which there is dispute over the need for environmental qualification will be environmentally qualified and subject to a maintenance and surveillance program, if so required under 10CFR50.49, in accordance with the schedule accepted by the NRC.
