Dear Mr. Travis:

This is in response to your letter dated May 6,1986, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, inspection reports for operating plants in Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut from 1983 -

through 1986.

In a telephone conversation on May 20, 1986, with Ms. Mary Jean Pool of my staff, you agreed to accept printouts listing the inspection reports available at the NRC's Public Document Room (PDR) 1717 H Street, NW Washington, DC 20555.

Enclosed are printouts listing the publicly available inspection reports for Maine Yankee (Maine); Vermont Yankee (Vermont); Yankee Rowe and Pilgrim (Massachusetts); and Millstone and Haddam Neck (Connecticut). There are no nuclear power plants in Rhode Island.

Also enclosed is a notice that provides information about charges and procedures for obtaining records from the PDR.
