This letter refers to the routine resident safety inspection conducted by
Mr. John A. Berry and Mr. Clay C. Warren July 16 - August 31, 1986 at the
Shorehara Nuclear Power Station, Wading River, New York. The inspection con-
sisted of observations of activities, interviews with personnel and document
reviews.
The results of the inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report enclosed with this letter and were discussed with members of
your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosures
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
