( miles of San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station. This includes the Cities of San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Dana Point and State Beaches. Unincorporated areas of Orange County south of Ortega Highway and San Diego County nonh of Camp Pendleton/1-5 Rest Stop are also included.

THIS IS NOT A TEST.

An accident has occmred at the power plant. There is no need for public action at this time.

People at San Onofre, San Clemente, Doheny State Beaches, and San Mateo Campground should follow orders of State Parks officiais. Personnel at Camp Pendleton should follow the orders of base officials.

If schools are open, school children will be bused away from the power plant. School officials will supervise the children until families are reunited at the Reception Centers.

A list of these schools, Reception Centers, and information numbers is being provided to the media for public broadcast and should follow this message.

DO NOT CALL 9-1-1 unless you have a life-threatening emergency. For additional information, consult the Pacific Bell Customer Guide Section of the Orange County South, or the San Diego County North Telephone Directory.

1. An EMERGENCY has been declared by the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station. Sirens around the generating station have been sounded to alert the public to turn on their radio or television for information.
2. CIRCLE ONE:
a. There is no threat of the release of radioactive materials.
b. There is a potential for release of radioactive materials.
c. There is a release of radioactive materials.
3. People at San Onofre, San Clemente, Doheny State Beaches, and San Mateo Campground should follow orders of State Parks officials. l
4. Residents of Camp Pendleton should follow emergency instructions issued by base Corps officials.
5. IF SCHOOLS ARE OPEN, AS A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE, public schools in Orange County within ten miles of the plant are relocating children to designated Reception Centers.

Private schools within the same area are advised to evacuate to their designated Reception Center,

NO EVACUATION IS NECESSARY AT THIS TIME.

> Turn off all air conditioners, fans, clothes dryers, and the main water valve to the house.

> Bring prescribed medication and necessary items for three days including a small amount of cash, checkbook, and bedding.

> Place pets indoors and leave a three-day supply of food and water.

> Close and lock all exterior doors; security for the evacuated area will be provided.

8. If traveling by vehicle, close all windows, air vents and turn off air conditioning. Proceed to the nearest Reception Center.
9. If you have no transportation, walk to the nearest Assembly Point indicated in the Orange County-South Pacific Bell telephone directory. You will then be transported to your Reception Center.

G EVACUATION y/ MEDIA SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

1. An EMERGENCY has been declared by the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station. Sirens around the generating station have been sounded to alert the public to turn on their radio or television for information.
2. CIRCLE ONE:
a. There is no threat of the release of radioactive materials.
b. There is a potential for release of radioactive materials.
c. There is a release of radioactive materials.
3. People in cities of San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Dana Point, and in the unincorporated areas of Orange County south of Ortega Highway, to EVACUATE TO THE NORTH IMMEDIATELY, away from the power plant. People in San Diego County north of Camp Pendleton/I-5 Rest Stop are to EVACUATE SOUTH IMMEDIATELY.
4. People at San Onofre, San Clemente, Doheny State Beaches, and San Mateo Campground should follow orders of State Parks officials.
5. Residents of Camp Pendleton should follow emergency instructions issued by base Corps g officials.
6. Reception Centers have been opened for people evacuating. Please go to your designated Reception Center.

EVACUATION (A) MEDIA SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

> DISTRICT #6 includes areas north of Avenida Pico, west of the San Clemente City limits (Interstate 5), east of Pacific Coast Highway and south of San Juan Creek and the San Juan Capistrano City limits.

> DISTRICT #7 includes areas of San Juan Capistrano east and south of San Juan Creek.

Please go to the Reception Center located at Santa Ana High School,520 W. Walnut St., Santa Ana.

> DISTRICT #8 includes areas of San Juan Capistrano west and north of San Juan Creek, and the unincorporated area of Rancho Mission Viejo south of Ortega Highway. The Reception Center for these areas is located at Tustin High School,1171 El Camino Real, Tustin.

> DISTRICT #9 includes areas of Dana Point south of Selva Road, west of San Juan Creek, and west of Pacific Coast Highway. The Reception Center is located at Edison High School,21400 Magnolia Avenue, Huntington Beach.

> Persons in the areas South of the plant and North of the Camp Pendleton/I-5 Rest Stop should proceed to the Carlsbad Reception Center located at Carlsbad High School,3557 Monroe Street, Carlsbad, CA.

7. EVACUATION INSTR'UCTIONS FOLLOW: PLEASE, REMAIN CALM.

> Evacuate even if your spouse is at work or your children are at school or other facilities.

' (V) Do not wait or attempt to relocate with them. If schools are open, students in schools and other facilities will be evacuated to designated Reception Centers. Families will be reunited as soon as possible.

> Ensure all members of the household are appropriately dressed.

> Turn off all air conditioners, fans, clothes dryers, and the main water valve to the house.

> Bring prescribed medication and necessary items for three days including a small amount of cash, checkbook, and bedding.

> Place pets indoors and leave a three-day supply of food and water.

> Close and lock all exterior doors; security for the evacuated area will be provided.

8. If traveling by vehicle, close all windows, air vents and turn off air conditioning. Proceed to the nearest Reception Center.
9. If you have no transportation, walk to the nearest Assembly Point indicated in the Orange County-South Pacific Bell telephone directory. You will then be transported to your Reception Center.
10. IF SCHOOLS ARE OPEN, public schools in Orange County within ten miles of the plant are relocating children to designated Reception Centers. Private schools within the same area are advised to evacuate to their designated Reception Center. There are no San Diego County public or private schools within ten miles of the plant. DO NOT go to the schools to pick up your children as this could impede actions already in progress. Your children are under the supervision of school officials. You may pick up your children at the designated Reception Center.
